Blogs

I really do need to blog more!

We are working on some stuff for this year that should be exciting including blogs from major matches, including video and photo's and some interviews.

So far this year things have been going great, I'm seeing some real increases in performance and it's showing in matches. My new gear and racegun (Thanks to Double Tap Sports www.doubletapsports.com ) are working great, I'm still tweaking some small things but overall I'm really impressed with how things are working. My accuracy is up and my times are coming down. Overall I feel much more confident this season.

Coming up this month I will be at Borden on the weekend of the 17th to help teach some pistol skills to ORA shooters and I am acting as Match Director for the April 24, 25 Sharon IPSC Level II match. I have put a lot of effort in to ensure that both Revolver Division and Single Stack guns will have a fun match. Though I'm not sure if they are prepared for a match in which they won't have to do static reloads. Oh, and brush up on your accuracy, there's going to be some tougher shots! Seriously though it should be a fun match with a good mix of skills required. Any shooter regardless of Division or capacity should have the opportunity to make a plan that works for their equipment.

After that I'll start preparing for the Provincials at Barrie, should be a great match. I may see if, work schedule permitting, I can make it back to the Bianchi Cup, I love shooting that match and  would really like to go back...perhaps I can persuade Kent to let me have my old Bianchi revolver back...

Of course this will be my first trip back to the Canadian Nationals in quite a few years, I'm really looking forward to it and seeing all my friends in BC!

Unfortunately this may mean I can't make it to Area 7, but if I can swing it I will, I did well on several stages last year and think I could pull of a great finish this year.

The one match, besides the USPSA Open Nationals, that I'm looking forward to this year is the USPSA Steel Championship. Two matches in one, a Steel challenge match and a 12 stage match of USPSA stages comprised entirely of steel! See www.steelchamps.com

I'm gearing up for some Multigun matches, but I'll see how the year goes, I have most of the guns I need, but I have to look into what would be the best competitive gear to go with it. For now I am kitted up for the ORA CQB matches, but not sure how compatible or Multigun legal the tac vest I have is...lol

See you on the range!
