Ok hope some you can help me with this i have a Glock G17 1STGen (1991) had it to the range first time jamed alot. Ok i tryed it again at a IDPA Match and it worked like a dream so the next time i tryed it just to make sure it was not just luck and the dam thing went back to jaming and misfires. I checked the rounds and could see that there was no mark on the primmers from the fireing pin .I have striped the slinde right down and have cleaned everything but it still doing it i have tryed some of my friends re-loads and they have worked great in it so im guessing it has to do with my re-loads but i never had and trouble with them before they shoot fine out my CZ75-b
From shooting the Glock in the past I found you need to have a firm grip to give it something to recoil against. A light load will give you a similar problem unless you match it with a lighter spring. Chances are with the extra tension that can be developed when shooting a match, the gun worked fine, but when relaxed at the range on a practice day you will get jams...or were you using different ammo at the match?
So it works fine with your friends reloads but not yours? I haven't found Glocks to be too sensitive with primer choice but see what primers he is using. Maybe check your brass lengths too. The Glock I had was from that same generation and it had a fairly tight chamber, it may not be fully closing. Does it have a Ser. # that starts with two letters? Are they in the YE range?

well i think i got it worked out that my loads were to low for the glock im now going run some loads through it closer to the max see if that helps
